Happy new year, y'all! Much ahead- so very much. BIG plans- yes yes. Big plans indeed.... but I'm not telling!

Well. It's been an eventful past few days... First the scary dude on my doorstep, then the reformat of C: which failed utterly, in the midst of that, I lost my balance, spun to catch myself, and my leg went, but my foot stayed rooted for some unknown reason, and there a was a lot of pain, and now it doesn't work. Then, another reformat, this time successful, all while hobbling about without a crutch. Seems to be healing steadily though. And the computer seems to be doing so as well.

 I'm metropolitan- mostly try not to judge folks by their appearance too much, but I just had a strange knock at my door- a black man in a ski cap, who tried to stand outside the range of my peephole. I left the door locked, and asked if I could help him. My front window looks out on the street & driveway- he arrived on foot apparently, and was now standing back at my porch pillar, looking around nervously. He said he was a local scrapper, and wondered if he could haul away any of our junk. With no car...? No truck? Odd. I told him no, I'm an artist, and make use of most of it. He thanked me and left, and I discovered as he went down my walk
